And where you're at, it doesn't rot 👍

It doesn’t rot here but it does dry things out like a mo fo. I made the outfeed table in NC with cedar and oak. It now lives in Phoenix. The cedar has dried out enough to suck in and warp my out feed table. It bows in almost 3/4” end to end on both sides.

Yeah, but that's still a beauty. 😘

A decision has been made and the block shall remain as it is. Mostly because we wanted to pour some epoxy over it today instead of cutting and gluing. The remnants of black epoxy really make the block look like an aged block. So cool. Can’t wait to see what it looks like tomorrow morning.

Arizona in Coos Bay. An Arizonian? Contractor moved to the coast and jr gave me this cute little cactus. It's being raised by my brother. Got it in May when I measured his new house.
These stalks were fuzzy little bumps a couple weeks ago.
6 days ago, they quickly grew to an inch long..... then went crazy they grew over an inch and a half in a day. Same today. Tonight the stalks were 7 1/2 inches. (6 lady night)
The buds were closed at 7 pm, then two hours later.... 🤯
Here's 6 days ago, in the middle of plants on the rail.
The largest, images both today and indoors tonight.
The guy told me we could see as many as 30 next year and these can grow to the size of a volleyball. Pretty cool. 😎

Highup, the google pixel edit thing is so cool. My sister has a google Pixel (not sure what number). I wonder if S23 ultra can do that too. As it is, i can't even figure out how to blur signs in videos. LOL.

Daris, RF treatments for pain?

I did something I didn't think I'd ever do. I bought OSB. I was looking at prices of plywood for the attic space to crawl over so we don't have to touch the asbestos insulation up there (and yeah, its the right color to be asbestos crap). $20 for plywood and $5 for OSB. So, OSB it is. My friend insisted on coming over to be the one to put it up there because he didn't want me to fall off the ladder and get hurt. It was too hot to move it over the way its supposed to be over-- he noticed some random junction boxes just exposed up there that he didn't like as well. If it cools down enough, I might be able to push at least some of the boards into place. It's humid enough that there should not be floating fibers in the air, but I have a respirator. Got a full suit, gloves, boot covers, and respirator. The plan is to locate the source of the water, put all the soaked insulation in a bag and tie it up tight, haul it off far away from the house for trash pickup (people around here throw stuff with asbestos in the trash all the time), and fix the leak if possible. Not sure if its the roof or condensate from the AC ducts. If its condensation I have to figure out how to make it stop. If its roof then I have to go up there and figure out if a screw needs tightening or what.

I did manage to get samsclub pickup, walmart pickup, HD pickup (all curbside) done in the past couple of days. Got mail from post office. Yesterday was litterbox dumping day. I decided not to scoop and that the litter was done enough to just stuff tissues up my nostrils and carry the boxes out to the burn pile and dump them out. The Slide clumping litter comes out so much better than the other stuff. I cleaned up the hallway, wiped down some counters, took out the trash, etc. Bro was having a bad day yesterday though. He was heading out to the car to go to work when he suddenly felt ill. Sharted and projectile vomited at the same time. Went back inside and changed his underwear and messaged work that he was throwing up and got someone to cover his shift.

He's feeling better today at least.

I did notice some immediate pain relief. At least I was walking a little more upright. He did the right side yesterday, I don't know when the left side will be done yet. I guess it will only last about 6 months and then the nerve grows back together. Hey 6 months of a lot less pain, I'll take it.

Nice ! How’s the procedure done ? Is it actual heat, or a chemical injection ?

Welll heck, the epoxy fisheyed on me. We were able to peel the epoxy right off with a putty knife so that tells me the natural stain that I used the day before was clearly a bond breaker. Interesting because we’ve poured epoxy over other projects that have been hit with a coat of natural the day before, although we were also using a different brand of epoxy.

On the plus side, the other block came out just fine. It’s been oiled and waxed and is being given as a present right now. I think it finished out at around 21” x 21” x 2.5” thick. Happy birthday not my mom 🎂
