I'm running in safe mode right now. Naturally, it is not locking up at all. Surprisingly, without sound, it will only lock up about 10% of the time. With sound on, the computer locks up about 80% of the time. Many times, it will just recover with no error prompts (as if just a hiccup in the system) and other times, I'll get a fatal error / 700 (something) recovery. I highlighted this error and pasted into Google, and it states this is a common problem for those of us running Win 7. It even offered a fix, but it was lost in the translation. (yeah, I'm computer illiterate)

Download siv.zip (System Information Viewer) from here: System Information Viewer http://rh-software.com/
Do NOT try to download siv32l.zip or siv64i.zip
Unzip downloaded file.
For 32-bit systems double click on SIV32X.exe to run the tool.
For 64-bit systems double click on SIV64X.exe to run the tool.
Click on Copy button at the bottom left.
That will save all information to the Clipboard.
Open Notepad.
Hold CTRL key on your keyboard and press V key.
That will paste all info to the Notepad.
Copy all content and paste it into your next reply.

I tired the M/S link above, and it provided a auto fix for it. I allowed it to do its thing, then rebooted. Upon start up, I clicked on a video, and it froze for several minutes. I then got a blue screen with alot of words, but I read "fatal error", "dump windows", a timer, and some other stuff which I had no idea. It then went into a safe mode and I got a dark screen for several minutes.

It is safe to say that it didn't like what I tried, and thought for sure I would be shopping for a new lap top tonight. Fortunately, I was able to again sign in and don;t see any problems.

Is it still freezing ? Rest assure i wont post anything that will turn your confuser into a Paper weight .
