I was listening to a program the other day about evasive plants and they mentioned a Marsh in Ohio. ? I don’t remember the name or plant, but they carefully targeted the evasive grass , hoping to restore native plants, that would help the bug population become food for a healthier bird population. 👍 The Naturalist/ Biologist guy was very knowledgeable and impressive. Just like our main man CFR AKA BIRD MAN 😜

It may have been Magee Marsh that they were talking about. It's right next to Lake Erie over by Toledo and believe it or not it's one of the top 10 best birding sites in the U.S. They are known for a spring migration of all different types of warblers. The only problem is that they allow wild turkey hunting on site, and you have to be careful where you're out walking over there. :) ;) Of course the genius politicians who allowed that made the turkey season coincide with the warbler migration.

It's on my list of places to go this summer / fall along with Indiana Dunes national refuge. Indiana Dunes is one of the top 5 in the U.S.

I'm on vacation the first week of July and my wife and I are going to Brown County State Park for 5 days. 16,000 acre nature preserve and it's known for birders. Can't wait! :)

Here's a wild Iris from Eagle Marsh...

Does your wife shoot photos too? Mine got me started.

Not really, she carries a camera when she goes with me sometimes and she does just fine with it, but it's not her thing. She's my biggest supporter though. She likes to see all of my pictures and I do prints for her to take to her office.

Here's her last photo she took from back in April. We were on a walk at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis and she took this and when I asked her why she took it, she said "...because I could see the light coming through your ears!"....😳😳😂😂😂 I'm really not sure how I'm supposed to feel about that, but nevertheless she got me in focus at least.

I took a lot of photos as a kid but got away from it. My wife took a college photography class about 10 years ago and I went with her on assignments. I got hooked and bought a camera. She told me that what I took was better than hers. She seldom uses her camera anymore. I like to shoot what I see. Her class had them setting up shoots. I like natural pictures.
