advice on carpet installation issue

I think it will be a pretty easy fix. A little stretch here and a little stretch there and Walla. Incidentally have it good and toasty in there. Carpet will stretch much better. I work with a hair dryer blowing heat down my walls even in the summer time. Good luck and hope everything works out for you.

I suspect if the guy who installed the job could fix it so easy he would have done it

either way, I agree it's sloppy work and needs to be fixed

I agree with that. He missed it on his final look at.
I'm guessing it wasn't hooked good and he stretched away from it.
