Ilhan Omar entered this country illegally (not her fault she was 12 years old at the time) in 1995. Her real name is Ilhan Nur Said Elmi. The Elmis (her real family - a father and 5 children) who lived in a Kenyan refuge camp, split up in 1995. Her 3 siblings (Leila Nur Said Elmi, Mohamed Nur Said Elmi, and Ahmed Nur Said Elmi) were given asylum in the UK and eventually got UK citizenship. The Omars, (an unrelated family that was being given asylum in the US) allowed Ilhan's father, her sister Sahra and Ilhan to use false names and apply for asylum as part of their family.

You can read the rest of the story here where all of the proof is laid out for you in the sequence of it happening when she was an adult here:

https://www.powerlineblog.com/archiv...rious-case.php

If she's smart, she sure doesn't show it as she left a big legal paper trail and social media postings (which she subsequently deleted) that make the case against her.

The bottom line is she perjured herself 8 times (documentation exists - see link above) and Minnesota law allows up to 5 years in prison for each time she did it. But she could also be in trouble for federal tax fraud, student loan fraud, immigration fraud and marriage fraud.

I think the person who may not finish their term is her...that is, if the law is applied fairly
I'm still trying to understand how she got elected. I mean what was her platform? Ban the Jews?

He went to church and got reamed a new one. Presidents require so much planning and security for anything they do..... at a church the media would displace 50% of the regulars. For Trump it would be 95% He'd like to ban abortion and he's not religious?

What on Gods green earth requires anyone to publicly show their tax returns? The IRS knows what they did. For a president, it's just media cereal.
I don't care what Obama made, Kennedy made, Clinton Jefferson made, Lincoln made or even what Pelosi or Schummer made. That has nothing to do with anything.
What do you hope to discover about Trumps income taxes? Things that make him look bad? .......oh, of course, that's what the media want's it for too.
If it concerns the IRS and if it concerns law enforcement because he stole candy, only then do I care. It's none of my business.

Trump says Obama is responsible but Obama's arrest numbers were over 470,000. Right now it's just over 200,000.
So who is bullshitting who? Look it up.
So why are people bitching? According to that, Obama must have been one of the most ruthless Presidents ever. :D
Obama sent em back, Pelosi and Schummer told them to go home or stay home, but when Trump does it........ he gets shamed for being racist.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

"He also said the campaign and union have been discussing pay structures "to ensure that anyone working beyond 40 hours a week will still continue to receive $15 an hour."
So he doesn't believe in overtime? Cool, I can work 100 hours per week and not get overtime .:D

"We look forward to continuing those discussions and obviously are disappointed that some individuals decided to damage the integrity of these efforts before they were concluded," he added. "As these discussions continue, we are limiting hours of a few employees to ensure that no one is receiving less than $15 for any hours worked."
(Hey Bernie, that's exactly what other companies do when you raise the wages to $15 per hour) :D
I thought he was for openness? Don't do as I do, do as I say. Well if in some freak way he won in 2020, this is what we will be dealing with. King Bernie.

Never said anything that stated I was for illegal immigrants.
I am for legal asylum. You should take reading comprehension classes.
And your calling me an ass Mr. Admin?

I see you deleted the part which you wrote, " If you don't like our laws, maybe you should move".

No, if you want to be precise, I wrote that was about the dumbest thing you've ever said out of your liberal ass.

Well my friend, having descendants who came over from the Mayflower, other descendants who signed the Declaration of Independence, having my Great~~~ grandfather being the second President of the United States of America (John Adams), not to mention the Vice President to the First President of the United States, George Washington, and my daughters are both involved with the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), this is my country!

I am neither African American, nor Mexican American, I am a full blooded American. I bleed Red, white and blue.

I have many relatives who fought for the North in the Great Civil War. In my safe are handwritten notes from one of my relatives as he fought on the battlefield for the North. Since my father, whose family was from the North, married my mother whose family fought for the South, I have descendants who fought and died for both the North and the South.

So how dare you tell me anything about laws and telling me if I didn't like our laws, Move? Much to your disbelief, jumping the border without full vetting is still illegal here in the United States.

Yes, Emma Lazarus, who was a true refugee activist, wrote "The New Colossus" in 1883 and wrote:

“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.”

However, where does it say:

Bring me only people that are non-white,
your criminals, your gang members,
your rapists and non-white freeloaders?

Sabal initially came to the United States on a tourist visa and did not have permission to stay in the U.S. permanently. His goal when he came, after seeing Marines in action during his time in the Belizean military, was to enlist in the Marine Corps.

He managed to join with a fake identity document. He said he confessed during boot camp and was told, “Don’t worry about it. You’re a Marine now.”

Years after he was honorably discharged, he decided to go back to Belize because he’d developed diabetes, and his mother had offered to help him treat it with herbal remedies rather than pharmaceuticals. When he returned to the U.S., his entry triggered an immigration court case.

Sabal never found out about the hearing, and a judge ordered him deported in his absence. When he returned to Belize again in 2008 for more treatment, he found himself stuck outside the U.S.

Recently, a team of attorneys with Public Counsel, which has a program to help deported veterans, has worked to help him apply again for U.S. citizenship based on his military record."

I'd put him at the head of the line. Not good to see a non citizen (or anyone) lying to get into the Marines, but that's a lot better to me than a person coming into this country and flying the Mexican or Guatemalan flag on the 4th of July. America has a place for people who want to become Americans, not just live here.

We do this poking for fun and what we say isn't going to change anything, but maybe enlighten each other once in a while by our comments. We're supposed to be friends. There's no need for name calling even tho Ern is wrong a lot. :D

So here's the deal with border walls in truth, no lies coming from the mouth of the orange man. Democrats voted to fund the wall but McConnell shot it down because of the legislation wanted by dems to protect Dreamers who with no fault of their own were brought into this country and became honest citizens, working, paying taxes, paying for college etc like their parents, working and paying taxes.
That said so far ALL of the newer border fence built to date has come from money the democrats voted to do when little Bush was in office. None of it from the orange man. However dems did cave for more money recently. This money has not built a new wall in places where there was NO wall before only refortified the existing areas. Which many people including myself find redundant.

If states would adopt legislation making it illegal to hire undocumented immigrants and enforce it like AZ and a hand full of other states, we wouldn't need more walls. When AZ passed it's legislation making it illegal to hire undocumented people they all scattered to other states, and back to Mexico.
So who's fault is it? Well all those other states including McConnells won't do it, why? Because the right wing owners of businesses want cheap labor. So the cons are stuck in a pickle basically having to cave to the orange mans rhetoric that it's the dems fault and the racists white supremacists are loving it.

I find it disturbing that some hispanics that live here don't want the mostly south Americans from Guatemala coming here. I've seen hispanics from Mexico display racism against them because they think they are inferior to Mexicans. I've witnessed my friends white father beat his Mexican wife and called her vulgar names. She had to live with it until the old ******* died because she was undocumented. But many documented hispanics don't want to take the stand publicly because they fear violent retaliation. Definitely a thing. There's a lot of white men married to hispanic women who they control with intimidation as the men continued their racist beliefs afraid to stand up to the husband for fear of attack and getting thrown out of the house with no way to fend for themselves.

I grew up as a kid mostly playing with my hispanic friends (two families, several boys in each family with two girls in one of them) down the street. I went to Nogales, Mexico with them on little weekend trips. Back then it was a simple chain linked fence. My wifes grandparents came from Mexico legally and have been productive religious citizens all their lives. My dads parents came from Italy and became citizens, all the children got jobs and became productive citizens and served in the military like all of my wife's uncles.

It's a shame this president has chosen to name all people of color as rapists and leeches. He is the problem with his relentless hate speech, not anyone else. Well except his base and the cons in office that let him get away with it because they are scared of the orange man or are racists themselves. And now orange man tries to take all the credit for any wall building passed before he even started to run for office.

Democrats supported the wall in 2006 when it was a fence
https://wjla.com/news/nation-world/2006-secure-fence-act-vs-trumps-border-wall
Democrats haven't always had such a hard position on the border wall. Over the past decade, Democrats have supported billions of dollars in funding for physical barriers. In 2006, the Secure Fence Act passed with bipartisan support requiring the construction of physical barriers along 700 miles of the nearly 2,000-mile U.S.-Mexico border. Sixty-fourDemocrats voted the measure in the House and 26 in the Senate.

The current Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer voted for it, so did Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden. Then-Illinois Sen. Barack Obama praised the bill in a floor speech saying it would "certainly do some good" and "help stem some of the tide of illegal immigration in this country."

In 2013, all Senate Democrats and most House Democrats backed comprehensive immigration reform legislation, the so-called Gang of Eight bill. It included $46 billion for border security and around $8 billion to repair or reinforce barriers along the 700 miles of the border as required under the Secure Fence Act.

Schumer also briefly offered to deliver the Democratic votes to fully fund the border wall at $25 billion in exchange for a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers.

I agree with you mostly, but there are exceptions. There is a turkey plant about 50 miles from here. They pay the highest wages in the area and have good benefits. They run TV, radio and newspaper ads looking for help. My daughter worked there for 4 years. She said that Americans would not stay. It is hot, hard, dirty work. Some of the Hispanics have been there more than 10 years. A bunch of Americans hired in with her and all quit within a few weeks. If they did not hire illegals, the plant would close. They make employees have a social security card but figure that some are bogus. There was a raid several years ago and the plant had to go from 3 shifts to 2.
If you have ever tried to hire a young person, you know that most won't work.

There are such things as green cards which permit legal employment. I've never checked into the rules and limitations of the cards, but it is a legal way to work here. I don't know anyone who has an issue with those.
Are green cards a way to begin a legal transition to immigrate to the US? If not, I don't know why it couldn't be.
Most of the tree planers here are Mexican. I don't know if they are legal or not. I assume they are.

Green cards can take a long time to get. Even a renewal can take a year or more. As far as citizenship goes, I know a Canadian woman who worked here for 10 years to save enough to pay for it.

Around here, it's the Hispanics who beat up their white girlfriends. There was a case against a Hispanic man presented at my only time summoned to jury duty. He had an interpreter as I recall.... might have been his attorney.

They need to fix that.............. Maybe the system is 2000% overloaded babysitting people caught trying to enter illegally. A wall would help that.
