Watching "Face the Nation" this morning, it was a but unsettling about credible threats of dirty bombs and full scale civil war headed our way. Maybe they have finally awaken the sleeping giants who are done with the left's attempt to destroy democracy.

I don't know, but, as said above, money is no good to save, it is all about stocking food, guns, ammo and water.

Forget about Democracy, this is now jeopardizing civility. Our Leaders on both sides are using news outlets to push agenda’s in a fearful way. What’s that old saying, don’t kill the messenger ? That’s because fearful people do fearful things. Acting out of fear usually doesn’t end well for no one.

Freedom of speech and expression has been exploited for a long time and limitations are in order. That’s why we need that new department I spoke of, ‘ Humanities and Civility department. maybe all it would take is one Leader and one media executive to partner up and choose to Stop the inflammatory rhetoric.
I trust it will happen soon. Then our 246 years of Civility ( semi ) will continue.

Ya know, Canada isn't that far a way....and they have "free health care" where you get put on a 3 month waiting list after arrive because you had a stroke.

I haven’t been in a court room since Criminal Justice class in high school, but I believe the courts do limit the language used to keep things more real and fact based. So, I believe there’s room for improvement to that constitutional right. How about you ?

Why not allow the new keepers of the founding fathers / mothers the room to brain storm and tweak it for the greater good.

The right to free speech does not allow you to threaten someone with bodily harm, nor yell fire in a movie theatre.

I propose a motion anyone second it ? Three separate categories to ‘ freedom of speech.’ The General public / Media, The courts, and The Constituents in office or running for office. Create a criteria for each , where everyone has the freedom to express their point of view, but with limitations for public safety reasons.

Because we have already lost a few canary’s in the coal mine due to Alarmist Language and how many more are we willing to accept under the false pretenses of what I’m calling ‘ The Freedom of Unconditional Marketing Speech’ before we make a mitigation plan ? Either way, or side, one will be needed if we don’t do it soon.

It falls on the shoulders of each and everyone of us, by tuning out and turning off alarmist language ! In the Hope we don’t mistakingly make our neighbors spill their popcorn all over the aisle of the

The freedom of speech no longer allows you to say that you don't like certain groups or it is now hate speech. Of course it is selective. For example, if you would say you don't like Muslims, that is hate speech. But you could say you don't like Jehovah's Witnesses and that would not be. Why are some groups/religions protected and some are not?

It could make sense to some but definitely not to all…….The bigger question imho is why not comply and be flexible on an as needed basis. Does the none compliance give you something that you need to survive and thrive during this short stint we have ? For me it doesn’t

Courtroom and public is way plenty.
Media is what's screwing up our nation with free speech determined by a one sided media source.
How about conservatives set all the free speech rules just to be fair?

Nice High, and that is true.

Yesterday I had a heated discussion with someone discussing ‘ Respect ‘ ….. I was promoting giving respect as a gift and he was promoting it as being earned. Turns out, after some research, both are true. However, He felt like I was being judgmental and In a way it was , because all disagreements have an element of judging. So ! Ironically , that’s why it’s so important to judge less, even towards judgmental opposition. That way the most important aspect of Freedom of Speech ‘ Civil discussion ‘ stays intact.

Imho FOS, is broke, why not put 5 conservatives 5 liberals and 5 others in a room to draw up an amendment promoting ‘ Civil Expression ‘ otherwise our current mentor’s will continue the status quo and we will follow. The Media will most certainly lag behind, but it’s up to our Government to Start the mending ! amendment

The media does and says whatever will benefit them financially. They are after all a business so that’s to be expected and won’t change unless we bring them into forceful compliance through regulation. Not all government regulations are bad and if you stop and think about it there was a reason those regulations existed in the first place.
