Yeah, with the 100 degree temps, I just got my $450 electric bill to accompany my $120 water bill. Crap, I might need to start working again!

Our electric and water bills are almost as high as yours and we have plenty of water. And this was a cool summer here.

Just looked at our water bill
Water into house $5.62
Waste water $7.50
Which means the council charges us more for the water which enters the sewerage system than buying the water from them in the first place
We were away for 5 or 6 weeks that's why it was low that month
And our electric bill is about $170 a month

We had a refinery that blew off the side of their building last year. This caused fuel prices to increase nearly a buck a gallon. Well, they just announced the other day that they would not fix this refinery, leaving production at 20% of normal in So Cal. This makes us all furious as it is a way to keep prices high, and we are still paying well over $3.00 a gallon.
