Strange part of that is that I (we) were standing on a large flat area 40 or 50 feet above the ocean level and 100 feet away from the ocean. Ya should have been there. It was quite memorable.
We were standing right in front of this pool of water............. and yes, facing away from the ocean when the wave came over us.
Sorry, wrong photo on my first try............. This image was from way back in 1989, when we had the nastiest cold weather I've ever seen in my 57 years of life here. Got down to 9 degrees one night and stayed below 32 for a week and a half. Yikes!! Heck, we don't even see 28 for a low temperature very often.
