Where does incognito live? I hope him and his family are safe and sound. What a tragedy
The closest fire is about 20 miles away currently. Fortunately, the smoke is blowing away from us, so we are under blue shies. The winds hit us hard and I now have a pool that looks like mud, but a quick filter wash will fix it. I lost my 10' x 20' car canopy, but just ordered a replacement at Costco for $79. I still have a tree down on the street in front of me, but it is low on the priority list for the city to come clean it up. I also have a bent garage door, but it is just the support rail at the bottom. I'll try to get a replacement rail which should only be a few hundred to repair. Yes, we had 80-100 mph winds that got pretty scary.
That’s way too close, continued good luck for you and the family !The closest fire is about 20 miles away
Keep the brush cleaned out, but the environmentalists fight that. That’s way too close, continued good luck for you and the family !
I can’t help but have this crazy idea for buildings in fire zones to be built underground. Let the deck and patio burn, but the main structure would probably be safe
After 3 days, I just got internet. The local grocery store has no power and 1/5th of our houses still have no power.Aside from any property damage, how affected by this are you? Power out? Have to drive further for gas, groceries and other necessities?
This is a tough lesson learned for everyone. Both the environmentalists and the enabler‘s who know better, but turn a blind eye. The division of power and ideasKeep the brush cleaned out, but the environmentalists fight that.
Forgive me, I had a bad day ! ….Rumor has it that the power was turned off and unfortunately hydrants had no pumping pressure. ….. In a divided society, who the fudge can we trust , can we trust the my pillow guy only 14.98 , maybe Trumpy Trout, or Trumpy bear can save the world … there is nothing we can do to find truth, if we continue to ridicule each other. When will we decide to stop this insanity, and How many veterans have to blow themselves up in teslas, before we decide to stop vomiting bull shiitake, that exaggerates life to make the other guy look like a donkey.Rumor has it the governor saved money by not charging water reservoirs, and hydrants had no water. 5400 $10M+ homes, so far 7 deaths. FEMA money was also spend for homeless hobos, so they've lost all.
But aren't these winds an annual thing?https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Droughts_in_California
Climate change, governmental incompetence or maybe humans are just stupid and think they can outsmart Mother Nature.
