Are we talking pianos or politics ? Or none of the above 😜

I googled Steinbeck and Mr Pink, and ran across this thought provoking article. However, I must know how far out in left field am I ? 🤪 or could I be on the right page, whereas Mr. pink, the accelerant, the pink lid, is a clue to a more thought provoking puzzle piece to be found ? How’s that for brain power stretching 😉

Anywho, here’s the interesting history article on Steinbeck the writer and who I’m calling the Accelerator Colonel William Joseph, wild Bill Donovan.

Steinbeck used Blackwing pencils. I’ve got some Blackwings. The hardest Blackwing is maybe equal to a #2 pencil. I personally like a 3H or a 4H because the point lasts longer. Mr. Pink is my pink pencil sharpener. Pink anything seems to piss people off so I’ve made it a point to buy pink.

I just did some googling...... Do those pencils actually write stories or draw pictures? I've got a bunch of Ticonderoga and Staedtlers, but I have to do all the grunt work.
Those things like $50 a dozen 🫣
I be expecting a camera, scanner, GPS and Bluetooth on a pencil if I was spending that much. Maybe even a copier function.

As my brain continues to stretch outward, I ran across a few more thought provoking google Finds. Not sure if it means anything but maybe 🤔 it could ? And if it does …. O-Boy possible big lesson learned coming to America and a reinforcement of that phrase “ Sometimes the devil you know may be better than the devil you don’t know “ 🤷🏻‍♂️ SORRY ! Not much we can do about it now except watch, wait and see how absolute power COULD corrupt absolutely….. I hope not 🤞

One must note that Mary hated her brother.
The article brought up Trump's father as a basis to go full on negative against Donald.
I see an ambush article. Can anything in it be trusted?
...I stopped reading after those observations.
I want to see Biden's military history right now ....he wears aviator sunglasses and the matching jacket.
Wassup wit dat? Didn't he get 5 deferments because of him being a lifeguard with asthma?
I don't want a lifeguard with breathing issues on my beach rescuing children.... or adults.

I kinda bought them on a whim while I was buying other pencils at my favorite art supply store. They’re too soft for me, and I knew that when I bought them, but I liked the box. They do leave a good mark that’s easier to see on dark wood. Other than that they’re just another pencil with a backstory.

I heard the average truck payment across America is a cool grand a month. The guy that set up my pool table has a new Ford Transit and he said his payment is $1100/ month. That’s not even counting insurance. I refuse to buy a new vehicle for that reason. $1100/ month is a house payment, not a vehicle payment! Instead I buy stupid stuff like overpriced pencils that come in a cool box. There’s worse things I could be doing than paying too much for a box of pencils, like paying too much for a new vehicle. I feel better when I look at it with that perspective.

The wife n I went to Prescott over the weekend. We were going out to get a bite to eat and I spotted this cool old truck. I had to grab a couple pics. Made me think of you, @highup. Someone took the time to fiddle with and build that truck. That’s old school cool. It didn’t stop there. After breakfast the next morning I was walking the dogs and there were a couple real old vehicles in the neighborhood. One was a Ford tow truck and the other was a chain drive Sterling. That’s old. Didn’t get any pics of those two but wow, I almost climbed on them like I was a kid.

I wanted to build a custom VW powered foam/fiberglass firetruck as I was anticipating getting my driver's license.
I saw a building, possibly in 1001 Custom Truck and Van Ideas Magazine... I think that's what it was called.
Someone had fun with that project. 👍

How do you handle door knockers? Are you nice? Mean? Do you listen to their spiel? Do you even bother to answer the door? I just had a couple and as soon as they start in I say ‘Not Today’ then I shut the door. I suppose I could be polite and say ‘No Thank You’ but what exactly would I be thanking them for, wasting my time?

What’s your take?

We are all player’s on the stage of life. 🤮🤔😜……Some stand firm, knowing their part, and play it well. Others stand softly, not knowing and developing it as they build confidence. Wouldn’t it be nice if we all understood that and allow each other to play the game where they are, while at the same time mentoring traits that helped us stand firm. 🤷🏻‍♂️

So ! As they try different ways of acting ( being) to find their comfortable part, it’s going to be frustrating and annoying to ‘firm standing’ people. That’s why it’s important to gift ( unconditional love) understanding, rather than place judgement ( conditional love ) on to them and ultimately onto ourselves. 🤔

The mormon religion and other fundamental denominations typically stand extra firm and create an intimidating feeling in us. However, when we give them understanding, or the proper perspective, which is, they have an Insatiable desire, from biblical teachings, to witness to everyone the love of Jesus Christ and the importance for all to have the opportunity of salvation, by accepting him as our personal savior……They are simply playing their part well and IMHO, maybe not judging us the way we think 🤔 ….. when we understand the context behind different behaviors that context can bring clarity or UNDERSTANDING ! of the likes never seen or felt before. 😜

…. If you feel firm with your part C. J. then IMHO you did the polite thing by not waisting each others time. However, if you’re curious to understand a different persons part OR struggling to find your comfortable part, then IMHO, invite them in and be open minded. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks for trusting enough in my opinion to ask that question. However, I think I should be asking you the questions 👍😀

I’m nicer than that to people of faith. These two fellers were trying to sell me on their landscaping services. Just tuck your card in the door like the rest of them do.

Years ago a couple insisted that I take their little pamphlet. I'd already politely told them my stance..... If I need religion, I will seek it out on my own, so I again said no and I'd just use it to light my wood stove.
......I did. 😁

The worst are the ones pushing a religion. At one time I would listen and then quote a Bible verse that contradicted what they were saying. That quit being fun after a while, so now I just tell them "not interested".
