Makes fast work of those ridges. What kind of blade are you using? Is that ground down enough to re-tile the area, or do you need to make several passes?

Its a double row 7in diamond cup wheel Hav. Takes it down to the concrete easy. After that I check for flatness. The DeWalt grinder is 8000 rpm, cups run a hundred a pop.

DeWalt wheels I find have the most meat on them. There's also a profile wheel I use for scuffing up the surface. The double row is more aggressive and can take out high spots easier.

After 16 1/2 years, my son's dog and our family member, Biscuit, passed away tonight.

Thought I would go to Lake Havasu with the G/F and her family. Winds kicked up and knocked trees into the power lines. We had no power all day from 0130 this morning until 1800 hours tonight. Inside the house was 95 degrees, and it was 112 outside. A miserable day. Son in law wanted to drive my quad. It didn't start. I jumped it, started good. ran it for 1/2 hour, then had him go for a ride. He gets 1/2 mile away and it dies. I towed him back and put it in the garage. Sent family to the beach while I waited for power to be restored. They get 2 blocks away and the golf cart dies. I use the other one to tow them in. I switched 1200 pounds of batteries to make sure I had one good cart, then both wouldn't start.

Sorry for bitching, but it was not fun. Hopefully the anti-fun demons are all done messing with me and tomorrow will be better. Right now it is a cool 84 degrees in the house, but coming down by the minute!

Ugh. That sounds like a Murphy's Law sort of day.
I've got some sort of stomach bug so I'm not doing much today.

I did finally measure the area in my bathroom that I need to cover in self-leveling flooring. It's about 2' x 5' so about 10sqft. I have a 50lb sack, so I need to figure out how much water and powder I need out of it to cover that small area. If I wasn't too lazy to get down and scrape the rest of my floor clean (old vinyl sheet stuck to it and left the papery part stuck to the floor), I would consider doing the whole floor.

I also got some photos of my poor kitchen floor, which I will post in another thread.
