I miss the days of entertaining late night shows. Steve Allen, Jack Paar, Johnny Carson, Jay Leno, David Letterman. Even Craig Kilborn. They made fun of everyone. Now, Democrats seem to be "off limits".

I grew up watching Carson. He was a really good interviewer. I remember Drew Barrymore as a little child and Jay Leno's first appearance on TV.
Carson and Leno never did politics I think that's why I like them so well. I used to like David Letterman because the things he did I show were so crazy stupid..... But then he went Uncle politics and everybody else followed. late night has sucked afterwards just because of that.

I'm just waking up & was not successful at getting my body to move & do stuff. I nearly fell asleep on the way home from the trip to Sams, UPS store, and craft store yesterday. My back hasn't been bugging me as much since I started taking Magnesium, but I had started getting sharp chest pains all the way from my sternum to my spine. I didn't have any antacids with me though.
A band I follow on Youtube posted a new song & I really like it. I like the original version too.

Today I bought my first welder. It is only a 120v Flux-Core welder but for all I will ever need it for it will work just fine. Hell, I cannot even find any steel in my house over 1/4 inch anyhow. Mostly bought it because to get a "test pipe" (read cat-delete) for my civic would cost me close to the same price as the welder.
Just got back in from welding my kids 1/8 tubular steel trampoline leg back on and that simple fix right there has saved me more money than a welder costs.
Next it is the handle for my eddy, but I think I might just beef that thing up a little bit seeing as I work it like a mule.

I have a lot to learn to be certain but i will get there. Something tells me that i have a new love.

Wish I had one again. I welded for a living for two years. Had to sell my big welder when we moved into an apt. and had no place to put it.

It seems like a shit ton of fun and honestly i have a lot of tools that would benefit from some repairs. I never had an option to really work with the stuff before and for some reason I can justify a lot of tools in my life but a welder just seemed to keep getting passed by. This time around, for 200 dollars I would have been crazy to say no to that.
That and I am running out of tools TO buy, I seem to own one of almost everything.

.... I did see the other day at the supply store they had a hose nozzle that resembled a gas pump handle that can be set to premeasure volumes of water for dispensing. It was just over 200 dollars but I am strongly considering it for mixing SLC. It would be the cats ass for sure, but instead I bought a welder lol

When I looked at the still of the video I did not know what to expect. After watching it.... I still don't, but I was definitely surprised. That was rather neat.

It's a cover of a Viking Sea Shanty. It was a song used in Assassins Creed. I love when the bass singer does that dirge sound that reminds me a little of a foghorn.
It's an acapella group that does all sorts of neat songs. The bass singer does some solo songs and my friend's baby loves it. If he starts fussing we put on one of the songs from the bass singer & he stops & watches.

I should probably go to the grocery store with my brother to get milk & other stuff (I also wanted to look at some stuff in the hardware and paint department.

I believe this is the original song:

This is an interesting cover

A welder was something that's always been on my list but I've never bought one. How many amps does it draw?my breakers are 15 amp and I think most of those take 20.
I have a friend that can weld. His welds are better looking most guys can caulk. He put a later model aluminum 350 corvette motor in the frame of a '65 GTO he was building for his dad. I stopped by one day to check out his progress. Motor was installed in the frame and when I told him how nice it looked, he said look at the tie rod clearance by the oil pan. I laid down to take a look.
He said the oil pan got in the way of the tie rod, so he had to buy a TIG welder. Yeah, sure, had to buy one. šŸ˜ He only uses a 240 MIG welder because those cover all bases to a point. He's had a plasma cutter for quite a long time.
He's got every tool known the man and knows how to use them. Everything he buys is top of the line.
He's an electrician by trade but he can pay the car better than the factory can. Like everything else he does his body work is exceptional and his panel welds hardly need any Bondo at all.

It is a 120v 15/20 amp draw, so says the box and an output of 60/80 amp. I am fairly sure all my outdoor plugs are 15A and I only ran it for 20 min or so but it held. Just a cheepie but it will suffice for what I need.

One thing that is for certain, I have a lot of learning to do before I go and let me touch my car with this thing.

Then there is my tool preferences. Things that I know I will use a lot, or are imperative to my ability I will spend endless amounts of money on quality for. Things that I rarely use or are more of a convenience tool I have no problem buying el cheapo tools.

I wish we had kept the welder a late friend gave us. But he gave it to my father thinking my father would outlive him, but was sadly mistaken. My father passed away a few months after it was given to him and several years later when the old friend passed away his niece's husband asked for the welder so we gave it to him. He passed away a few years later & I have no idea what happened to it.
I'm struggling to try to cut back on sugars and carbs. My brohte rand mother aren't making things easier because they both bought snack food & stuff with a ton of sugar. I've forced myself to not cave and eat any of it. I'm really worried about my brother because his A1C was over 11, he's back up to 300lbs, and he's not doing anything but sitting in his room playing computer games as if they are his job instead of cleaning up after himself or doing anything to help out. Mom also keeps insisting I cook potatoes-- something our doctor said we should stop eating.

I need to figure out some more pressure cooker recipes & how to use it better. My brother pretty much refused to help me when I asked him. He said something about reading the buttons-- I guess I have to locate my reading glasses because I can't make out the words on it.

That is no good Zannej, I am definitely not the appitomy of health by any stretch of the imagination but I can definitely speak to the dangers of an unhealthy diet. I have gained 20 pounds from nothing more than peanut butter and chocolate milk. I have an addiction... it is not as serious as some addictions but what can you do.

Best of luck to you and remember, the more cravings for conquer the less you will have.

Well, it is a sign of a strong mind if you can misplace things and recall where you left them later. I say you are winning.
Personally I think it is time to develop a strong addiction to the cocaine. Exercise and me are not about to become any better acquainted.

A standard breakers is 20 amps. When a welder kicks the amperage up to 60 or 80 amps, the voltage drops accordingly and vice versa. Thatā€™s why youā€™re not poppin breakers.

Every time I lose weight, my Dr. puts me on a new med that makes me gain weight. I have lost the same 20 lbs. at least 3 times.

Insulin? Insulin makes you gain weight. Insulin resistance is when you lose weight, because you canā€™t convert the sugar to energy. It just stays in your blood stream which is dangerous. It has to go somewhere.

My GIFI ones on the outside of the house are only 15A, but like most things in life, there is a tolerance. I did not even come close to running her hot, most of my welds lasted for about 5 seconds and then I would do something foolish and off we would go again.

Lucky for me, over where I have my car parked to work on is an 80A service... ok that is a lie, I tore the panel out when I tore the building down but what is still in the ground is the wire for it all and it is still hooked into the 80A breaker on my panel so one little hop skip and a jump and I have as much juice as I need. Someday I will probably drag the hot tub over there but for the here and now some arsehole has a car parked on it.

No, I had PMR (polymyalgia rheumatica) It is a condition similar to gout, where the fluid In your bones swells, and with no where to go it hurts. I had to take a steroid for months. Now I have severe arthritis pain. And the med he has me on, causes weight gain. Because I have 3rd stage kidney disease, I can't take most pain meds.
