It's been a long time back that I first discovered this fellow's channel.
This was a 100-year-old, historical boat that was literally turning to dust. I didn't realize until just today that he has been reconstructing this boat just 120 miles south of where I live. He bought the boat 5 years ago and is probably replaced almost every single wooden part of the boat. It's been an incredible journey watching him do what he does and watch all of the volunteers that have come to help work on the boat for weeks or months at a time. Because of a complaint by one noisy neighbor and zoning laws he was required to move this boat by a mid September.
This is the end of the first big phase of the boat reconstruction.
This episode is a really special one because to this point I never knew who the property owners were and his relationship with them. It's a pretty cool story.

changing this high performance technology to a small scale, I wonder what it would do to the horsepower / fuel economy of a Ford focus..... same technology but with a much reduced power output of 120 horsepower. I wonder what the miles per gallon would be.
This is a 1700 horsepower, three cylinder engine that weighs just under 160 lb.

....ok, ok, not to mention an 800 volt electric battery.
But still this thing is incredible.

Someone is 21 and wants a case of the Rona. Stay away from me!

Today was a great day. We broke the ol man out and brought him home today. First thing we did was take him to lunch at his and my moms favorite Mexican restaurant. Then we brought him home, BS’s for a few then he and my wife both took naps. I took the dog for a couple walks around the neighborhood, got the TV’s and phones hooked up in the house. My wife even watched Fox News with the ol man. Now that’s a first. Lookin forward to tomorrow. Hope you guys, and gals, all have as good a day as I had today!

So I’m not sure where anyone stands here on the believing that BS, using it as a strategy which the politicians do, if people are really that gullible, etc. that’s why I make my own decisions. To an extent of course.

I’m thinking I need to do a hostile takeover of my wife’s life. Ain’t no way in hell she’s gonna go along with it but dam, life would be swell.

I had a good weekend, my wife said I have to see this gas station in Daytona called Buc ees? 109 gas pumps, big building filled with stuff I guess people eat on a road trip. Went car browsing, found tile that kinda blended in with existing tile due to balcony replacement at the condo.

Speaking of road trips I noticed a ton of adult stores along the freeway during our trek. That tells me that truckers are some horny bastards.

As far as the news goes, and as far as I’m concerned, it’s all BS anymore. The wife used to go to the gym in the mornings and they would have Fox on one TV and CNN on the TV right next to it. Both would be reporting on the same crap but what a difference between how each one reported their sides of the stories. I try not to pick sides because you can find fault with either one. It’s kinda like being a Chevy or a Ford guy. Doesn’t really matter what the emblem up front is if there’s a roll of carpet hanging out the back, right. I’m OK with local news here n there. There’s always some local cutie that I can enjoy watching without actually paying attention to what she’s saying.

The news quit being news and became partisan pandering almost 2 decades ago. There is a great amount of literature written on the subject of the diversion of philosophy in recent history and the evening news is the best place to see it on display.

Still can't kneel to lay floors so I'm in a sort of purgatory. I'm a working superintendent doing renovations (gut and rebuild) in Ventura, CA. I work as hard as I want to, basically do what I am am able and competent to do that was not already subcontracted. Mon-Thur 10 hours a day. I like the 3-day weekend.

So today I became a victim of climate change..... or something.

Why is it that when your concrete heaves at a saw cut that was filled with elastomeric epoxy not less... and causes your concrete to buckle and shift and makes a bubble in the flooring, it's somehow my problem?

We had historic temperatures a few weeks back and would you believe these showed up right after? weird!

So, alas, I have now fallen prey to the effects of climate change, for shame.
