Well we find out it comes under the comprehensive part of the car insurance. Now it is a case of filing a claim and getting it fixed. Daughter is peobably going to be pissed hearing that fearing her insurance will go up.

No, had a buddy that did all my auto body,welding and worked for and knew all surrounding counties. He used some racist words for a prolonged time and I don’t talk to him anymore.

Not enough money in the world to pry me from the west coast. The low last night was 49 in the high today is going to be probably 72. I'm going to be working 50 mi away and it's probably going to be closer to 90. That's way too hot for me. On the bright side the humidity will probably be fairly low.
I’m just the opposite, there wasn’t enough money in the world to get me to stay on the west coast. That’s alright though, different strokes for different folks. We can still get along can’t we?

Chains have SnapBack too? I’ve been lucky with rope, I kinda duck down when I hit the gas. Come to think I’ve seen some tailgates with indented chain marks. I get my not to do list from AFV.
Is there a link or something I could read your writings. I would be interested, especially now that I'm three nights a week at a greasy motel.

Mike, I just don't like change. Up until a year ago I've had the same phone number since I was four and a half years old. I was born six and a half miles away from where I live now.
I think it's like anything else, music or whatever you like what you grew up with. I live in a small community and within 15 minutes I'm at the beach and with one half hour I'm up the river.....without a paddle. Hey I don't own a canoe.
It's 20 minutes to the sand dunes. If I want to watch a 650 foot ship come in through the jetty, that's also about 15 minutes away. It takes about an hour for it to make it into dock and I can follow it and watch it the entire way. I actually rode on one of the pilot boats one time when they went to remove a pilot from a ship on its way out. That was one bay cruise I will never forget.
I'm a downside, the water temperature really gets much above 60°. Not good swimming at the beaches here.
.......and the bikinis here are a lot larger. Daris would not approve.

Years ago here the guy who cut the concrete was meant to discuss where to place the cuts so that the layer could place his joins of vinyl over the cuts then heat weld the joins which of course would never happen as nobody knew what type of flooring was going down in what areas at the time. But did give the layers a good out because the cuts were never discussed with them
Our insurance keeps going up despite no traffic violations and the only accidents were clearly ruled the fault of other drivers who hit my vehicles. Well, and the trees falling on our vehicles, but that didn't make our rates go up. But because there were floods and other people lost their vehicles and/or had damage, our rates went up. They have a scam going where they request permission to raise rates and the commissioner of insurance is not allowed to take into account the stockpile of $$$ they have in banks.
It's been so hot I don't even remember the weekend. Monday & Tuesday I was sick. Some kind of stomach bug. Tuesday I got ahold of the police juror for my district about getting the sign replaced. I forgot to take the opportunity to tell the guy that putting gravel down on the paved road is only making it worse because the rocks are grinding what is left of the pavement away. I also forgot to mention the situation with the timber companies not digging the ditches back out after filling them in to drive across to cut trees- which is causing road floods.
He seemed nice enough though.
Heard from some friends of mine that they got screwed on a house purchase. Seller didn't tell them the city had condemned the house & has since gotten the hell out of dodge so they can't find the person to get their $ back and undo the sale. City is demanding they have the house torn down at their expense. I suspect someone on city council owns a demo company or has a relative that owns one. That's how things work around here. So they are trying to find someone to sell to who only wants the property & is willing to demo the house. Unfortunately it's in a tiny podunk town even smaller than the one for my zip code (I'm technically not inside any city since I'm in the rural area and don't get any of the city services).
Today I got a call from my friend's gf. One of their kittens died, another was missing and the other 2 were in bad shape. One looked skeletal and near death. Both had no energy and weren't eating or drinking. I took them tot he vet and explained they have no names & I'm not taking them home bc I can't take anymore home. Plus they have the upper respiratory feline herpes crud & I didn't want to bring that home to my kitties. Older cats can survive it but it kills kittens. They both got subcutaneous fluids, antibiotics, worming meds, and eye cream (they have eye infections). Got them some A/D food (which vet said they've nicknamed "almost dead") and she said if it is warmed up for 2 seconds it should be more appealing to them. I told my friend I'd come by to help give meds. The kittens slept on my brother's back & shoulder for about 30min after the vet visit. Friend offered to repay us the $120 (with discount) for them, but I said he can make it up by helping me with some projects instead.
Friend is having a tough time. His gf is not happy with her job and has it in her mind that she can get training to be a nurse. She *hates* needy people, hates waiting on people, can't clean up anything she considers gross, & is not smart enough to pass the training. She can't even wipe eye crud off a kitten. She can barely change her own baby's diaper- and that took 6 months. She's trying to get her GED still but she's already bought scrubs as if she's going to be a nurse. She would HATE being a nurse but won't listen to me. When we arrived to see the kittens, she was on the porch playing on her phone and smoking while the baby was inside screaming. She knew he was crying but was ignoring him. He needed a diaper change. She keeps complaining about him fussing. He wants attention but she doesn't want to play with him. It's like pets. She wants them but doesn't want to take care of them. She is upset that the kittens had to be put inside for their safety. If she could put the baby outside and leave him she probably would. She doesn't even hold him during feedings. She hands him a bottle and walks away. Then she screams at him if he drops it and spills it.
Friend is stressed to the max. His direct supervisor has refused to order any of the parts he needs to repair the arcade machines & he's getting yelled at for not fixing stuff. He keeps explaining he can't fix stuff without parts. And then they tried to pull a fast one by accusing him of stealing arcade machines-- thinking he couldn't access his old e-mail address where they had e-mailed him and instructed him to dispose of the machines. He got in to the old account and fwd the messages to them so they could see it. He also screenshotted them and CCed the higher ups. But he can't physically keep up with the job. He's in pain, he has very little energy, & he's depressed. I'm going to see if I can cheer him up any. He might need medication to help with the depression, but I don't think he'd go seek help on that front.
Meanwhile, his mom came by and dumped another kitten on him. Kitten was attacking his gf's feet and wanting to play with the bigger cats. Cute kitten but super hyper. I had to stop the gf from beating the crap out of the kitten for trying to play with her feet. She's off her meds right now (they won't refill her prescription until she sees the doctor again and old doctor won't see her anymore bc she missed an appointment during an ice storm when roads were closed). Her next appointment is on a day when she is supposed to work & her work won't let her take time off. So she's losing her temper and getting violent again.
It's still raining outside so the cats are in here piled on me. I've got one on the back of my head, two on my chest, two on my leg, and two up against my left side. Still not feeling great. Woke up to a fruit fly climbing in my ear this morning. Got it out, but ear itched for awhile after. Ok, I was wrong about two cats on my leg. One was a dog. LOL. He just moved a bit. Other dog is against my foot. The purring is soothing at least.

So you do a 40 ft chain with 12 ft of strap. When the strap breaks, the rubber band affect is much much smaller.
Follow up Dr appointment from the crap done last week. I expect a big " I dunno".
They need to do better than that.

Mom woke me up early because her bedroom doorknob broke from the inside. Something inside stripped so the inner knob would just spin and not move the latch. My brother had gone in there to use her bathroom and was stuck. Knob was 40+ years old but finally gave up the ghost. A couple weeks ago I mentioned we should replace it because it's finish started peeling off and it had a rough texture. She didn't see the need. I had to open the door from the outside. Then I had to drive to the nearest hardware store to get a new cheap knob. Got some Kwikset privacy lock that advertised having Microban. whoopdee doo. I don't know if it was defective or just a crappy design, but they put the escutcheon with the screws on the outside part instead of the inside. So I initially put it on backwards. Couldn't switch the escutcheons. and there was no latch plate either. Didn't care though. I got it put on right, tightened it up, washed the grease off my hands, and came back in here. I woke up too early and it made me nauseous. At least mom wasn't mad that I bought a new screwdriver. I lacked the mental fortitude to go looking for screwdrivers in the house even though I know we probably have over 20 of them. I can never find them when I need them. So I got a new magnetic one for $3 and it worked. Mom actually said it was a good idea. I think she was just happy that I was replacing the knob.
Right arm is really bugging me so I'm going to take some naproxyn and try to nap longer.
