I don't know how old that battery was but I wouldn't buy a car battery that had set on the shelf since January. You need to buy a car batteries at a place that sells a lot of batteries so you always get a new battery. A 6-month-old battery is not a new battery

I buy car batteries at Walmart anymore. They sell a lot of batteries, so the odds are they won't be old. And there is no hassle getting the warranty honored. And they are cheaper.

I had cataract surgery 6 months ago. No pink tint for me. I’m looking at my white screens on 3 monitors. Cataracts cause yellowing as does the natural aging process. Your brain will eventually ignore the pink.

I’ve been demoing tile the past two days and this **** sucks. Luckily they didn’t back butter anything so the tile itself pops right up but chipping and grinding the thin set is for the birds.

Better you than me.
.......no special reason. 😁
Honestly I wouldn't know where to start and I don't have the tools.

I've been watching this guy for about a year. Prior to this one, someone asked him if he could do some Johnny Cash.
And boy does he do a good Johnny Cash. I don't know what he can't do.

I've never had so many job offers in my life than I have had the last 2 years. It's unreal. Shops, union's, contractors.... You name it. Literally beating my door down to come to work for them.
It's nice to be able to hold court for once!

Every trade is like that I'll be damned if I can figure out why.

Cus for the past umpteen however many years people have been saying **** like ‘You’re gonna go to college and get a real job’. There is a stigma against workin in the trades because that’s what ‘losers’ do. Well guess what, nobody wants to be a loser. The other part of that is **** doesn’t pay so nobody wants to go and beat up their bodies for peanuts.

Companies are complaining that they can’t find anybody. Correction: you can’t find anybody for what you’re willing to pay. There is no such thing as a labor shortage in capitalism. Period!

It's because all the next generation kids aren't getting into trade work. Their all on the technology gravy train...and who can blame them? They start fresh out of school at around 75k a year doing that. Who the hell wants to Carry some old farts tool box for them and run after ****/bull work etc. When you can have a nice comfy chair and fun working environment?

When I think about job sites these last few years I can't remember seeing very many kids (18-28ish).... I remember a lot of guys around my age though (40-50).

Things are starting to change though. The tech world will be flooded and the trades WILL be paying their guys very well with all the bells and whistles. It's inevitable and It's already starting now! About damn time!

Thanks for the heads up on the car batteries. I forgot to have my brother check the date. The store he got the newest one from wasn't even built when he got the old one. They moved locations. Not sure if they moved inventory or not though.
CJ, that is a nice kitchen! I like the style of the cabinets and the door. That'a big clock! LOL.

yesterday I went to samsclub and then stopped at my friend's house on the way home to get more measurements. He's got about 36" above and below the air conditioner, about 39-1/2" to the left of it, and 42" to the right of it. Not a lot of space but some of it can be used for wall shelves (too high for the baby to reach). I also got crappy pics and measurements of the crib and dresser so I could do better renditions in sketchup.

Can't find the right wood texture (the one on the furniture doesn't have such dark or pronounced grain)

The crib was a pita to make. Took a few hours bc I kept messing up and had to start over a few times. But, I'm somewhat satisfied with how it turned out.
