Bit the bullet and bought the Harbor Freight 1/2" drill that they never put on sale.
They put the hammer drill version in every:
"buy one, get a second tool free" sale.
They have these sales frequently. Often, it's a:
"buy a 4ah battery and fast charger and get a free tool".
They usually have 10 or so tools to chose from.
This 20v drill says it will drive 350 fasteners per charge. 1200 inch lbs of torque.
argh, argh argh (Tim the tool man). Potent sucker and it's solid, a bit on the heavy side. The price is actually fantastic when not on sale. It is one nice drill.
I'm giving my old Craftsman 19.6v drill and driver to my nephew, since now I have a matching HF drill and driver.
I have two Craftsman batteries and I have two identical Craftsman drills and two drivers.
If I can find another charger, I will have two complete sets. One for my nephew and one for a friend.
It Christmas. ...giving away my old crap makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
.....actually, I love that craftsman stuff.
I had duplicates because I saw a second set at Habitat Restore and bought them as backups. They still work as good as new.
I just wanted one complete system.... One charger.
I donated my air impact tools to Habitat. One 3/8" and two 1/2 inch impact wrenchs. They stuck $40 tags on them
....it took a while, but they're gone.
Man, I'd never go back to air tools. Lithium is a game changer. It took a lot for me to make change. Mainly it's because HF is so cheap to get into. Their quality is at least as good as DeWalt and Milwaukee.
All their Hercules tools are brushless and have a full 5 year no questions asked guarantee.... You don't even need your receipt.
