I asked the homeowner if I could use their bathroom. He said can you go outside?šŸ˜³
It was -10 degrees out.
I have to drop the carpet 18ā€ beyond this door

That reminds me of a customer I had years ago. My help at the time (a 20 year old kid) went and took a leak in their bathroom. Homeowner seen him coming out and absolutely lost her ****! Called her husband who came racing home and started screaming at the poor kid that he needs to go outside to go to the bathroom. I was dumbfounded and floored. Who the hell doesn't let someone use their bathroom???

Oh yeah...... ********

Here's how I did the transition between the two living rooms. I cut out a few inches of 1/2" underlayment on the higher side so that I could center the threshold, then shim it up to make it work with the carpet on the high side.
On the lower side, I added a 1/4" rubber carpet shim to make the difference as close as I dared to.
I liked the result, the renter liked it...... so I hope the landlord does.
...cause I ain't changing it šŸ˜

I need another iron infusion. Had 3 last year. I have had issues with it since I got vaccinated. One of the most common side effects.
Until you mentioned this as a side effect, I'd never heard of it.
Not that Google and fauchi would want you to know there's a possibility of side effects.

If you do some research on the VAERS site, you can find many side effects that are not being reported to the medical community. Several thousand had the same side effect that I did.

Nore should you, that looks great šŸ‘ ..... The Landlord got lucky having a ā€˜Master Installer ā€˜ on his project.
I do know how to change quality levels when switching from a custom home to a rental. He spent good money on some good carpet.
He didn't cheap out. The renter is very picky, but in a good way.
H said the house is going to be a "shoes off" home. He's going to take better care of the place than the last guy who let his kids write on the walls, and let the goat poop in the house..... maybe it was sheep, I don't recall.
The owner has been cleaning it off and on for a year.

When people ring me about replacing a rental vinyl job the first thing I ask are they going to get more rent if they replace a vinyl floor which isnt too bad for a cost of about $1000 for say a bathroom, toilet, as a tenant isnt going to look after the new floor any better than the old one
The old one will be fine thank you maybe replace it later
I am not a good sales person am I? Where as a sales person would say replace it to get paid for their time :)

Looks like you guys have been busy. Carpet in that area looks nice Highup.

I'm still feeling sick. Been sick over 2 weeks and still no signs of getting better. I'll feel a little better at one point and worse again later. Feeling nauseous again and threw up a bit earlier because of mucus. I've been taking the Mucinex but it's not working this time. Dropped off some food for my friend but he was in the ER. He's got pneumonia now (but is negative for Covid). The little kitty, Nightmeow tried to come home with me again. I had to distract him with some food so I could drive away. He's such a sweet little kitty. I really wish I could bring him home.

Rusty, I hope the infusions help this time.

This house badly needed floor covering. It was well over 15 years old and I don't think the fella put in very good carpet the first time around. I believe the home had a different owner and I installed vinyl flooring in the larger living room with the fireplace and that was probably over 20 years ago.
Since this particular record is going to treat the house like it's his own if I was the property owner I would keep his rent low as possible just to keep a decent person in the home knowing that he will take care of it.

Zan, you need to find a good doctor that can help you get some of this straightened out. No fun spending so much time being tired and having so many days not feeling well. I'm betting at least part of it is stress from helping out everybody but yourself.
I'm not a doctor so I am just going to suggest a fishing pole. šŸ˜

Went to do a small backsplash and got a little stuck on the way in....
Then I got really freaking stuck trying to leave!

Gotta love it!!!View attachment 13953

You got chains? I still got a pair behind my seat and Iā€™m sure I wonā€™t need them any time soon. The BFGā€™s I had on my van had awesome traction. Too bad they melted on the way to Phoenix.

Highup, I think I probably had Covid but got a false negative because the swab was done halfassedly/improperly. Started feeling a bit better and then last night had a splitting headache. It doesn't help that there is so much dust and crud in the house that I need to clean up-- but I keep feeling dizzy so I have trouble cleaning things up.

I ate too much red beans and rice so I've been super gassy and that doesn't help me sleep. But, now I'm going to be eating chicken and pork chops the next few days. I'll have to add in some vegetables as well. Not eating right is part of my problem.

Tom, obviously you were able to get unstuck at some point, but that does not look like fun. People around here get stuck in the mud/ditches all the time.

I was in the kitchen earlier when I heard a soft meow and then felt claws in my leg. My orange cat (who very rarely meows) wanted to be held. He meowed and then tried to climb up me but he's too heavy. So I picked him up and put him over my shoulder. Then I sat with him on my lap for about an hour. He finally got down when he wanted water.
