Didn't you lose one a while back also? I'm still chasing water I'm up to about 40 gals so far. Grandson is coming over tomorrow to help me empty the room so the loose laid vinyl can be taken out. it was over $400 for that 10x12, black and white checker board. It is over the top of vct. I know there was a moisture issue as it started to show mold line if where the tile are. Now maybe the concrete can start breathing. There is no sealer under the vct, my mistake of taking advice from my stepson who laid the stuff everyday.
Leaffilter is coming out Monday morning to give an estimate. Enough of this already. I'm surround by BIG maple trees, and I only have an umbrella tree on my yard.
We lose one about every year. We hired one taken out and the utility company took out one. I even took out a smaller one, about 40 feet, by myself. Sooner or later we should get them all trimmed. Only thing is, they want about $3,000 just to trim one. Our house was built in the late 1800s, so we have several big trees. This was the farm house for a big farm here before they filled it with houses.
I'm hoping storms will stay away from here. I know it rained the other night but I slept through it. My cat, Sir Hammington is still missing. :-(
I ordered some vitamins for Mom and Samsclub delivery people left the package on the hood of my truck in direct sunlight instead of putting it on the porch like I have repeatedly requested. So, the bottle was very warm when I found it. Hope they aren't ruined.
Visited my friend and put gas in his car and bought him some groceries bc his company screwed him over. For one, they didn't do the paperwork properly to use his PTO for his vacation. It was at least 85 hours of PTO they owe him for. Additionally, they only paid him for 5 hours of work when he did 50. They said they will have the HR lady mail him a check for the difference when she gets back from vacation in a week or so. They still haven't given my brother his tax info nor have they set up his account on their payroll website. He has to wait for HR lady for that I think, but I'm not sure. Taxes are due by the 18th this month and bc Louisiana sucks, they tax for the income from NJ (which is where the employers are). He gets taxed by NJ, LA, AND federal. We used to have tax laws that allowed $ taken for federal to not be considered taxable by state-- so they were to be deducted from LA taxes. But they put a deceptive description on the ballot (claiming they were lowering taxes) so people voted on it. It passed and now there is no federal tax deduction unless it is for a federal pension. So people's taxes greatly increased instead. I voted against it bc I actually read what the law was going to do, but reading is hard for the idiots here. Although, given how ****** the schools are, I'm not surprised.
Friend said he will try to work on my bathroom soon. Not sure quite when, but we can work that out later.
I'm a bit miffed bc I ordered my phone on Apr1 and today the price went down by $20. Now, Amazon has a policy that if the price drops within 7 days they will refund the difference, but it was the Samsung store via Amazon so no guarantee on a refund. I'm going to contact them and politely request the refund anyway. Worst case they tell me "no".

Not good about Sir Hammington. What's it been, a week? Days and weeks feel the same to me sometimes. 
With that bathroom project, sometimes two people do better than one. I found that occasionally when I haven't done something before, it's sometimes good to have a second person to either tell you you're right or tell you you're wrong..... Im just saying it's better than talking to yourself because you might always agree with yourself like I do.
It's just better sometimes for two people to bat ideas around between themselves. The outcome can be better with multiple inputs.

I really miss Hammy. He's such a sweet kitty and it's been almost a week. I keep hoping maybe he got a little bit lost while trying to find a girlfriend. Senator Snugglebum has been an absolute prat in Hammy's absence. He was out on the porch hollering and my mother called him an "incel". LOL.
For me the biggest issue is being able to lift and move things into place. I already struggle when I don't have a problem with my arm, but the arm not having full mobility and strength is really getting annoying. I think I need to keep having my brother rotate my arm in its socket because I can't seem to get it to go by grabbing with my right arm.
I got my new phone and a curbside pickup order from walmart. Couldn't find some stuff in the store so did curbside. Took my phone to the AT&T store and the lady there took my old sim card out of my old phone and threw it away before I could tell her I needed to back it up first. She then put the new sim card in the new phone and after a few moments declared that the phone wasn't unlocked and wasn't compatible with AT&T. Apparently she didn't put the simcard in correctly though. She put the new card in my old phone but my old phone couldn't make calls anymore.
My brother messaged our friend about it and friend said to come over that the lady was incompetent. He got it set up for me. I watched a few videos to learn how to turn the phone off, make text larger, and set it to dark mode so it doesn't hurt my eyes.
I need to take some more trash out before the sun goes down completely.

Watching the weather. Chance of tornadoes before morning.
Between tonight and Thursday we are suposed to have really strong storms with hail, a lot of rain and possible tornadoes.
....and to think I'm getting po'd because our daily highs and lows are five to 10° below normal have been for the past month or more.

Nasty storms all night. Wind, hail, lightning and heavy rain. Tornadoes east of here.
I guess we are under tornado watch until 5PM. Had one heavy shower go through about 8 this morning. I was reading up on tornados this morning and I guess most happen between 3 and 8 PM.

That’s crazy. Is that all because of your clogged up downspout? Or are you just having that much rain?
We were having that much rain. I can almost go fishing in my backyard it is that wet. It was coming down by the bucket full. My daughters house is 6 houses away at the end of our street and I couldn't see it.

Yikes! That's the kind of rain we get around here. It's why we don't have basements.
I had to cancel my Lowes order bc Fedex said it would take another week to get here. It was ordered a week ago and was supposed to arrive this Monday. It's been sitting at a fedex facility in TX since last Friday. They updated ETA to next Wed, but that is too late. I need it asap. Plus, with the history I have with Fedex, it won't be there on Wed. I think they lost it. Wouldn't be the first time. So, I called Lowes, waited on hold 15+ min and explained the situation. Said I found a store about an hour away that has the item in stock and I will go pick it up either today or tomorrow. Looking like it will be tomorrow bc the order was supposed to be filled already and it is "delayed". Not sure how late they stay open. I couldn't cancel the old order bc it was already shipped but I couldn't return it bc it never arrived. But the associate understood that I didn't want to wait another week or more for something I wanted to use already and I've had to wait.
My phone case is also delayed. They took their sweet time to even send it and it seems to be stuck in Port Allen. They lost a few of my orders there before. Not having luck on orders lately.

Was it leaking or is the basement flooded? You have a sump pump or any kind of pump for emergency use in that situation?
