I ordered some vitamins for Mom and Samsclub delivery people left the package on the hood of my truck in direct sunlight instead of putting it on the porch like I have repeatedly requested. So, the bottle was very warm when I found it. Hope they aren't ruined.
Visited my friend and put gas in his car and bought him some groceries bc his company screwed him over. For one, they didn't do the paperwork properly to use his PTO for his vacation. It was at least 85 hours of PTO they owe him for. Additionally, they only paid him for 5 hours of work when he did 50. They said they will have the HR lady mail him a check for the difference when she gets back from vacation in a week or so. They still haven't given my brother his tax info nor have they set up his account on their payroll website. He has to wait for HR lady for that I think, but I'm not sure. Taxes are due by the 18th this month and bc Louisiana sucks, they tax for the income from NJ (which is where the employers are). He gets taxed by NJ, LA, AND federal. We used to have tax laws that allowed $ taken for federal to not be considered taxable by state-- so they were to be deducted from LA taxes. But they put a deceptive description on the ballot (claiming they were lowering taxes) so people voted on it. It passed and now there is no federal tax deduction unless it is for a federal pension. So people's taxes greatly increased instead. I voted against it bc I actually read what the law was going to do, but reading is hard for the idiots here. Although, given how ****** the schools are, I'm not surprised.
Friend said he will try to work on my bathroom soon. Not sure quite when, but we can work that out later.
I'm a bit miffed bc I ordered my phone on Apr1 and today the price went down by $20. Now, Amazon has a policy that if the price drops within 7 days they will refund the difference, but it was the Samsung store via Amazon so no guarantee on a refund. I'm going to contact them and politely request the refund anyway. Worst case they tell me "no".
