They hold them in one hand .

Another installer came by looking for carpet seam sealer. I don't have any. No one in town does. 60 mile round trip to get some.
Contact will work also.

I used contact on a glue down job last week for seam sealing.
Never tried that on a conventional (strip and pad) install.

Yes , you have to let it dry before making the seam .
I would make a horrible mess if I ever tried that.
Bet no one remembers the first flooring related forum. That thing was so bad anyone could log in with someone elses name. This was like way back.
