I've been neglecting the forums lately. Been trying to help out my friend who has horrible luck. Tranny went out in his truck last month so I had to go pick him up a few hours away and then drive him back and escort him home the next day. He got a "new" used tranny only to find that the part to shift into second gear was broken so he needs to replace it already. Been sort of babysitting his new gf who is 19-years-old and weighs 90lbs. She's afraid of staying in his home alone when he's at work or away because of the guy we call Creepy McCreeperton who lives in the trailer next door. Dude apparently made some inappropriate comments about what he wanted to do to her (and he's in his 60s) and she's afraid of him-- but he also breaks in to other trailers on the lot and steals stuff all the time. She's a sweet kid and I was mistaken for her mother when we were waiting at the doctor's office for my brother.

Made the mistake of buying a cheap Mainstays space saver that claimed it was "wood" and normally retailed for $150 but was on sale for under $30. Turns out it was cheap particle board crap, the backing was literally cardboard, and they didn't drill holes in the right spots in one of the doors so I had to punch them in myself to put it together. I'm going to put plywood on the back instead of the cardboard, paint up all the particle board crap to seal it, and replace the knobs. I'm seriously thinking of just giving it to my friend since his space saver burned in the house fire and I can just use the measurements to build my own out of wood. I got a new brad gun and portable air compressor (it was a set that came with brad gun, nail gun, staple gun, and the compressor/air tank) so I can use that for quicker assembly and then reinforce with screws.

I also got a Fastcap Blind Nail kit. It came in handy when I had to punch holes in the doors of that sorry excuse for a space saver.

And now I'm distracted because someone mentioned cake. Mmm. food.
