Same thing here , Snow then Ice , Then rain.

Were lucky on the south coast. Tonight's probably getting to 26 or 28 if I chance a guess. 30 right now.
100 miles north and inland from us has had freezing rain, lots of downed trees in the past few nights including last night 7500 people without power because of that.
South of me 25 miles or more were high river levels from a lot of rain and minor flooding in a lot of places.
Chilly don't kill ya, but I don't like it much.

I might go for my Captains license this summer. See if i can drum up some business delivering Yachts .

How involved is the process? Do they license you for a certain size or length?

It's involved Hi. I took the chart plotting course years ago.

I believe they have different levels of the length of boat you can Captain. It's been awhile . I have to check into it .

I started going for my coastal navigation course a few years ago and it got too hard. How much water beside a wharf at a certain time of the day?
I wasn't driving the Queen Mary I had a 22ft 6 inch cabin boat with a 6 cylinder Volvo with a stern leg. I just looked over the side to see how deep it was

The chart plotting course was a hump. Had to navigate around Kenny Bunkport

Be at certain way points at certain times . Had to take into to account , current, speed , drift . wind . [etc].

I finally finished a 1500sf hallmark engineered floater. This thin 3/8" x 6" x Rl white oak went together like icing on cake. And it wasn't even kerfed.
I'm hiding out until after Christmas then start Kahrs job.

Its a pity we couldn't have got the weather better from them
