I remember going on one of those cheap Carnival cruises once. I dropped the wash rag, and literally had to open the arched shower door open in order to bend over and pick it up.

No more cheap cruises for me. Personally, I love Viking Cruises. They have heated bathroom floors!

How do you get tests over there? Do they shove something up your nose like here? Makes your eyes water

When I had one last year, it was up the nose. Her test was a 24 hour saliva test because she was supposed to have surgery Wednesday.

Now, the American protocol is to use your index finger. You insert it up into your ass as far as you can. You then bring it to your nose. If it smells ******, you're fine. If it doesn't smell, you got the Rona!
Sorry, just beginning to smell since 12/06/21, so I think it is funny.

Nope, never want to. Vacation to me is seeing no humans for a week.
...once in a lifetime, luxury vacation, 30 days.
You wouldn't believe what would happen if I won the lottery.

I get motion sickness and I have food allergies. I don't like the idea of being on a boat in a confined space with other people I don't know and may not like, with beds that might not be comfortable, and food I might not like. There's also the chance of the boat sinking. I don't like other people touching my stuff so I don't like having someone else change the bed & clean the room when I can't watch them.

Or worse, when they insist on cleaning the room an changing the bed while I'm still in the bed. We had to stay in a hotel in Singapore for a few months when we first got there. I became very ill within the first week. Housekeeping lady insisted on waking me up and dragging me out of the bed just so she could make the bed (not even changing the covers or putting clean fresh ones on) and shove the two beds (I was sharing a room with my brother-- double nightmare) together. When she was done I had to pull the beds back away from one another and unmake the bed to get back in. I put up DO NOT DISTURB signs. I even put the latch up on the door. When she knocked and announced herself I said "GO AWAY!" but the room I was in shared a door to the room my parents were in. That one could not be latched so she came in. I was too sick to fight with her on things, my father was away in Hong Kong, and my mother didn't care.

Rusty, I hope you get feeling better. I had to go to the doctor today. Could only get in to see the NP. As I suspected, I have bronchitis. No Covid or flu at least though. Waiting for understaffed pharmacy to fill my prescriptions.

I don't need to make up excuses about boarding a ship Zan.
......there are people on ships ...nuff said

I would "play it forward" without blinking an eye. Same with a vacation trip to Hawaii or Tahiti, French Riviera...... whatever.

hav had some friends cruise with Viking after trying the "cheaper" cruise lines who would sail with them again but Viking arent quite up to the same luxury class as Seabourn

hav I have about Australia $6000.00 each credit with Seabourn from that cruise we got kicked off due to all the ports being shut due to covid a couple years ago along with A$400.00 each which gives us 10% off the next cruise if they ever get ships down this way, talking maybe December if I ever get to use it.

I think my my friends were on that Viking cruise that got into trouble at Norway, I know they had trouble getting back to NZ as their airline tickets all had to be changed along with quarantine in different countries they had to travel through to get back. Viking did look after them apparently though

I’d get me 40 acres in the middle of nowhere and put my skoolie on it. And you know you gotta have chickens n goats and a couple of guard donkeys. Prolly a couple sister wives to work the land. Then I gotta have a YouTube channel to bring in money for my off grid paradise.

Fast forward 6 months and I’m tired of listening to the goats, chickens n donkeys, my sister wives have started to cycle together and they’re fighting and the whole YouTube thing is really stressing me out. Life woulda been so much better if I just took that darn cruise.

Rusty, I'm so sorry! Sending hugs your way. I've heard from numerous people that sometimes with Rona you feel better and then worse. It's like a rollercoaster. I'm hoping you won't be feeling worse though.

Highup, yeah, people being on the cruise should have been enough of a deterrent. LOL. I need that shirt that says "I used to be a people person but people ruined it for me".

I'm waiting for confirmation of my prescription being ready at the pharmacy- need to make sure Mom's is ready too. I only want to make one trip and avoid people as much as possible. I've been taking Mucinex, drank the EmergenC stuff early this morning, and plan to take more vitamins soon. I could be feeling worse-- just chilly and tired.
