CJ, its humid here most of the year. It was cloudy and wet but not raining most of the day. Humidity 85%. The moisture clings to me. However, it is the quick-drying primer that is supposed to be done in 15min (from what I looked at online since I can't read the tiny print the can). I just checked back about 20min ago (had to drag a puppy inside because she was refusing to come in). While I was out I decided to go check and since I had a headlamp I rolled the pipe, shook the can for 2+ min and sprayed the rest of the pipe. Should be dry by morning. I wish I could find a rope long enough and place to hang it from.
I laid it over an old mattress that has the fabric torn off so it has springs sticking up that would take wet paint off. But it was fine when I carefully rotated it while dry. I'll have to do the same with the final coat. It took longer to shake the can than to paint the pole.
