The people on the boat said it was bullets flying.
I'm not saying that Bolton had this done, but I think that Bolton will jump at any excuse to start a war with Iran & will blame this on them to do it.
There are some people who claim GW Bush somehow orchestrated 9-11 but I think that is tinfoil hat business & think it's more likely that his administration took advantage of the anger over it to go after Iraq when most of them were from Saudi Arabia (the same country that Trump is trying to sell weapons to). I remember my father commenting back then that Iran was actually more of a threat than Iraq at that time (and he was in INS, had the highest security clearance & access to the classified info).
Also, Trump likes to project what he's done or what he would do on to others. Note his older tweets claiming Obama was going to war with Iran to try to save face & drum up support or to change topic away from scandal. He tweeted it out repeatedly bc it's a "strategy" he thought of and would likely use. I can't attribute any honesty to him, so I don't know if he believes Iran is a threat or if it's just a distraction. But Netenyahu hates Iran & he's so corrupt he's been indicted.

I saw the video on TV and not on FOX. The whole thing is nuts. Bombs placed on ship, way above water line............ Iranian military places the, then removes them, then shoots heavy artillery at ship catching it on fire.

That was from one of the most Trump hating Democrats that exists. He knows more then we do and for him to agree that Iran was the problem is enough for me. Who else would try to sink a ship in that area, patrolled by the Iranian national guard? And what would be their purpose? Why would the Iranian boat pull up and remove a bomb...... and how did they even know it was there? To remove evidence is the only logical answer. Who over there would shoot heavy arms at the ship once the bomb (evidence) was removed?

I can't disagree, but what he said verified the initial government report........... with the exception of the torpedo part. I think that was a first guess once the ship was hit.

He's a civil rights attorney who believes in equality, love, peace, & "dad jokes". He's Muslim & was very upset when Christians and Jews were murdered in mass shootings-- organized people to bring food, water, & moral support.

The captain knows what a bomb looks like? Why did a boat full of men pull along side and remove a not-a-bomb from the ship?
Maybe they were just cleaning a dirty smudge as a kind gesture to the ship owner.

You asked if any of the crew had been interviewed. I mentioned an interview with the Captain. I don't know if his perceptions of what happened would be accurate. I wasn't there & I have no idea. You also asked who would want war with Iran. Whether or not they are responsible I have no idea. But, something is fishy.
