Our autistic son doesn't want to move that far anyway. He has one friend and he lives a block from us.
Just remember, kids are resilient for the most part, but I understand what you are talking about.
My uncle on my moms side was autistic too. All he liked to do was listen to baseball games on his radio. He could tell you any statistic on any game like ever.
My son is a video game whiz. At 14 he was a mod on Minecraft. When Black Ops came out, he finished the whole thing in an hour through the highest level.
Just because they are considered a special needs person does not mean they are stupid. Each one has something special they are good at, example Rusty's case with his son.
