Sure, why not ! …..Every other or third Mon. I hit the local pub for Taco night and 5.00 Margaritas. Every time I run into the Same couple, they are regulars, I’m the irregular regular. Here’s the funny part, when the husband leaves his stool for the bathroom, the bartender quickly comes over and pours a shot of whiskey into her beer……on the down LO ! And I feel like an accomplice
But my advice to you Daris is to stay away from the whiskey.
Got a butcher block countertop I did awhile ago. Something happened with the oven so we have a new one to use but it’s not as deep as the last one was. That’s where I come in.
I kept all the falloff pieces from the original installation so I cut a piece to use then made a jig to fit my piece. Little if this and a little of that and it’s done. Once the oven is back in it should look even better.

The screws won't go forward either. Won't budge at all. I'm just going to do my best to shim things out. Discovered one of the problems is that the tub is in the alcove slightly crooked but I can't get it to pivot bc it's in there tight.
I'm trying to find a repair product for the big gouge in it and am wondering if anyone has heard of this product: https://www.amazon.com/White-Surface-Repair-Kit-Countertops/dp/B07N2KBDH3/
It uses a blue light to cure the enamel in 20 seconds.

For a customer. I think if it was mine I woulda bit the bullet and bought another chunk of butcher block. Yeah it would hurt but that plug would bug me till the end of time. Hell, it kinda bugs me now.
It warms my heart that you kept some of the pieces cut off just in case. Did I mention I'm a hoarder? LOL. When my friend cut 2x4s I told him to keep the scraps for later projects. LOL.
I went to get mail, popped in to the local hardware store, & went to get my RX at walmart. Had to leave the naprosyn behind bc it was over $200. Its never been that high before. I'll have to talk to the doctor about either getting a generic or getting a scrip that has a huge price discount with singlecare or goodrx.
Cooked for Mom, brought in the paper towels, threw out some empty boxes and discovered we have 3 unopened bags of mega roll tp. Found some cat food I couldn't find earlier too. I refilled the waterer in the living room and brought in a case of water. Currently cooling off. It's supposed to be in the upper 60s tonight so I hope it will be cooler inside.

I never throw out any wood pieces. Seems I always find a use for the leftovers.
I have two boxes of wood scraps in my garage. But it is pine and pine is too hard to carve.
My glue gun showed up yesterday. 100 watts, heats up in a few minutes. I’ve been using it to fill holes on my bench top all morning and it hasn’t even dented the battery yet.
I tried to reinforce the top of my plastic drawer thingy (it's a small drawer thing that sits on my night stand) because it was cracking under the weight of fat cats. My plan was thwarted by a piece of plastic sticking out so I had to put my reinforcement behind the spot I wanted. I'll probably have to put something over the top to reinforce it better and tape over the crack.
Shimmed up the wall behind the tub a bit more.
Called the number for an AC place that sells Trane units (other place never got back to me) and the guy was very helpful. He was able to contact Trane and find out the info I needed that they wouldn't tell me and said they make newer outside condenser units that match my inside unit. Said the good news is that the inside unit can stay since it is working fine. Bad news is its expensive, but could be worse. The replacement compressor alone would have been over $4k. The new condenser + deliver & installation (including taxes) is $5741. We can pull from savings and he said they offer financing, but mom said she'd rather do it in one shot to get it over with. He already ordered the condenser unit and it will be installed Monday. He said they specialize in rural areas so they are used to finding backwater places. He laughed when I said most people won't come out because they hear banjos.
Got my parts from Rockauto so I can get my truck worked on. CV axle and new wheelbearing. Either my friend can do it for free when he's not busy or the tire place can do it for $200.

Started selling off furniture and other belongings of the departed mother-in-law to empty the rental house. I'm learning OfferUp means and methods. I do enjoy meeting with the buyers. But all these Ebay/Craigslist/OfferUp/Facebook Marketplace have plenty of....................well, you know.

There was just a story in the news. A lady looking to buy a car on marketplace. Brings a bag full of cash to a seedy neighborhood, at night… It was of course a planned robbery… Lady brought a relative who was a police officer who brought his gun… Bad guy drew first, police officer lost his life…

By the time they come to fetch it that part is over. I'm trying to empty two homes right now so I'm happy anyone wants our old crap. Honestly it's not worth the TIME it's taking to sell but I'm retired and volunteering this work to support my mentally disabled sister-in-law. She needs the money.

Upside is that the place installing the new AC unit specializes in rural work. I mentioned hearing banjos and he said that most of their clients are rural and they travel pretty far. He was very nice about making arrangements to get the AC done. Told him we were miserable in this heat and didn't want to replace both units. Good thing bc with the price of the outside unit I don't want to know what the inside unit would have cost.
Ooh, time to head out for my curbside pickup order.
