No joke, my (now late) elderly friend was having eye surgery at the VA. For some reason they had a student doing the surgery and he literally heard the student say "Oops!" and the more experienced doctor immediately told him to step aside and was not happy. Botched something on the eye and scarred it. Vision was worse after that. We convinced him to go to my mother's eye doctor for his other eye and it made a huge difference.
On a side note, my father once got a tiny piece of metal in his eyeball and had to get it surgically removed. Half a second after the doctor pulled the metal out, an earthquake hit. If it had hit during the procedure it could have really messed up his eye.
That is awesome!! Nothing like getting a good deal and getting nice tools!
My mother got in on some big sale on Wish. Stuff from there can be hit or miss. It doesn't always look like the picture or it turns out to be crap quality. She ordered a huge cat tree. I was skeptical but it arrived and was better quality than expected and had decent instructions. Best part was a list of all of the screws with little pictures of them and their measurements and their quantities so I could organize them. The posts all had stickers with their numbers on them to make it easier to identify. I did have to look at the photos of the thing on the internet to figure out how some of the stuff was supposed to fit together bc it didn't match the drawing. Hit a snag bc I accidentally used the wrong screw on a post (the one longest screw). Thought I dropped it and looked all over. Finally decided to see if I bone-headed and used it. First one I pulled out was the right one. I was going nuts trying to screw the cube on but the screws weren't long enough. Finally got it all assembled and dragged it out in to the kitchen. I was going to move it further, but the cats took an interest and started climbing in it. Within seconds my fat orange cat was curled up in a soft hanging spoon-shaped part lower down. Oldest cat climbed up on lvl 3. Fluffy cuddlemonster kitty got on the top tier and in to the upper spoon thingy. Leukemia kitty got up on top tier. She swapped places with the cuddlemonster. I decided to leave it there for now.
As for the snow-- it used to only snow once every 20 years. I remember it snowing in the 1980s and then again in the 2000s. Then it started happening more frequently. Used to only be about an inch or so. Some places got 5 inches this time- which is unheard of. They don't even sell ice scrapers or snow shovels down here. Even 1-inch of snow and people lose their minds. Meanwhile, my friends in the north will have 5ft of snow and its business as usual.
This was my front yard yesterday morning:
