You know what I did today?
I drove my project car into work, the whole 58 kilometers. I was terrified! I didn't know for sure it would make it, im a floor layer not a mechanic and well to quote a famous TV show from the last little while "you know nothing John Snow"
On the weekend I finished the exhaust and the waterpump/timing belt replacement then took it for a rip around the block... except I forgot to fill it up with coolant and apparently didn't torque my lugs back up because my tire went rolling down the road beside me. Lucky it was all of 2 houses from mine and I could just trundle across the street and get my jack and impact and go again but she made it in boys and im still alive to tell the tale
Now I can work on making it all pretty again because in this state..... well.... its anything but.

Look on the bright side. You didn't put any stress on the water pump impeller. Tires last longer when they're not on the car. It got you home...... Not a bad day.

Puttin a move on 320 LF of 7.25” base today. Got my anti booger dust hood in action.

Did a pressure sensitive adhesive hardwood removal, had to go home and get the ride on for @ 350 ft,

That's a little more than a something....
That's a Lesabre. I had redone the whole car. Only 300 were made with the metallic paint, the wire wheel covers and the 1/2 vinyl top. I did the re pinstripe myself. After the tree fell on it , the trunk, hood and top were down on the floorboards. Only thing salvaged were the new tires.

Programmed a remote for the Chrysler. It only came with one. Bought a new one on E bay for $10, Took about 30 seconds to program.
That’s why my van looks like this. We all want to see what Mark’s van looks like inside
Nothing worse than having to run back to the house or adding an extra day on to a job because you don’t have something you need. You pull a trailer all the time? Or just when necessary? Is that something you put on and off as needed? Prolly not worth it to pull around an extra couple thousand pounds if not necessary.

Chris, I don’t like loading the scraper, getting it into the house and the potential damage to poorly set tile, then potential of hitting something in the house, pipes close to drywall, etc. yes, the truck and trailer stay attached almost all the time, except estimates and couple days off. The other truck going to shop for heater core(1200$) then A/C so I can hop in that, I called my regular mechanic and he said he didn’t have the manpower to do both, and the speedometer computer chip. I don’t like disconnecting trailer either, minor hassles but still.
